Whiteshill and Ruscombe Parish Plan 2011

After the success of the Parish Plan events we are now having our first Steering group meeting.
If you want to be a part of this and have a voice in how the community is shaped then come along to the Village Shop on Thursday 4th November at 10am.
We will be discussing the next course of action which will involve setting a questionnaire for the whole parish and setting the timescales for this to be achieved.

The Parish Council is embarking on a Parish Plan with assistance from Stroud District Council who has provided 50% funding towards the costs of the Plan.

Please come to the Coffee Morning at Whiteshill Village Hall on Saturday 15th May 2010 from 10am to 1pm to learn more about the project and how you can get involved.

What is a Parish Plan?

A parish and community-led plan is a complete action plan which covers issues that concern your community. Through consultation, issues are identified and prioritised, and through partnership they’re achieved. A parish and community-led plan sets out a vision for the future of your community. It will include social, economical and environmental aspects. The plan can be used to influence agencies' strategies and relates to the local development framework.

What are the benefits to your community of a Parish and Community-led Plan?

  • Bringing residents together and helping forge greater community spirit
  • Identifying skills and talents within your community
  • Increasing the potential to work in partnership
  • Giving a solid framework to the community voice.
